akafal.com is the website of Amine Kafal, an independent product builder based in Montréal, Québec, Canada. This policy explains what personal information the site collects, why, and the choices you have.

We collect personal information only when you give it to us through the project-inquiry form: your name, email address, and message, plus your phone number if you choose to provide it. We also record the language you used and the time of submission. We use this information solely to read and respond to your inquiry.

Consent and lawful basis

We collect this information with your consent, given when you choose to submit the form. A phone number is never required. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see Your rights).

Third parties we rely on

We use a small number of reputable service providers to run the site. Each receives only the data needed for its function:

• Supabase — stores project-inquiry submissions (database).
• Resend — sends us an email notification when you submit an inquiry.
• Cal.com — powers the booking calendar when you schedule a call.
• Google Analytics 4 — measures site traffic using cookies; loaded only after you accept.
• Vercel Analytics — privacy-friendly, cookieless traffic measurement; also our hosting provider.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry submissions only as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, and no longer than 24 months. After that, they are deleted.

Your rights

Under Québec's Law 25 and Canada's PIPEDA, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to request its deletion, and to withdraw your consent to its use.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand traffic. GA4 sets cookies and loads only after you accept them in the cookie banner; if you decline, no analytics cookies are set. We also use Vercel Analytics, which is privacy-friendly and uses no cookies. Our Cookie Notice has the details.

Where your data is stored

Personal information collected through the inquiry form is stored in Canada — Supabase (Canada (Central) — ca-central-1) — and processed in Canada — Vercel (Montréal, Canada — yul1). Your inquiry data stays in Canada; there is no cross-border transfer.

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The date above reflects the latest version.
